Marketing Your MLM Online – Basic Tip 3
Here is the third tip of the series on the MLM basics for marketing online. Today we are talking about YOU, Inc! In online marketing you do not market your business, you market yourself. Online we use Attraction Marketing to attract leads to us rather than the outdated methods of contacting our family and friends. Mike Dillard has written a very good book explaining about Attraction Marketing, called Magnetic Sponsoring, which you really need to read if you want to market online. Mike will explain to you the whole concept of Attraction Marketing, so you can understand how to position yourself.
The very basic thing which you should do in order to market your MLM online is to develop your own brand. People on the social media sites will soon get fed up of listening to you pitching your business to them if you do not learn this. Everyone hates having someone sell them something, but they enjoy buying things! They prefer to make up their own mind.
In order to create your own brand, you first need to let go of whatever you have been taught in MLM offline! This may go against everything you know because it is much simpler to have the spotlight on your products. You will soon find however, the everyone online, irrespective of age or gender markets themselves. People buy from people they know, like and trust. For this reason you need to connect with people and be seen on social media sites.
The way to do that is to be valuable to people. Instead of offering them your opportunity, you should offer them help. Become valuable to them. What you can offer them, is information. As you start to learn about marketing on the internet, you share it with others. This will begin to mark you out as a teacher, or leader. Also, if you write an article or do a video on the subject, you are going over the subject again, which helps you to remember it.
When you choose a domain name for your website, you need to remember that it needs to be part of your brand. For your main website you need to have your brand, preferably with MLM somewhere in it. For instance, mine is PrimeMLMTraffic. Obviously it depends what is available and what you like the sound of.
Most people use their own name for their blog. Of course if you have a popular name this may not be possible. In this case you would add something to it, such as WhoIs….. or WorkWith…. Always remember that whatever social media sites you join, they should be in your name as much as is possible.
You will then be slowly branding YOURSELF!
